James has a BA (Hons) in Property Development and Planning from the University of the West of England. He is an Incorporated member of the Chartered Institute of Building and has applied for full membership.
Before joining Adair, James held technical positions with housebuilders and a main contractor. He has experience on super-prime residential projects in London and the Home Counties as well as projects for universities, museums, theatres and listed buildings. He worked on a large new-build scheme that was the first Level 6 Code for Sustainable Homes development of its scale in the UK.
At Adair, James will deliver project management services. His areas of expertise include planning, construction management, health and safety, and meeting development briefs. His other areas of expertise include:
- Delivering all elements of internal fit-out work
- Reviewing construction information for completion, accuracy and discrepancies
- Managing sub-contractors
- Meeting quality control, environmental, and health and safety requirements
- Planning site activities
- Advising on specification requirements for standards, including the Code for Sustainable Homes and BREEAM
Outside of work, James enjoys football, mountain biking, triathlons, socialising and attempting to play golf.
